I'm back! Finally! And I bring with me a review on my second MAC lipstick I've purchased, Fleshpot. If you want to know my thoughts on it, click below!
Sorry the pictures are so dark, I haven't been able to take pictures before the suns sets and the lighting in my room sucks.
So Fleshpot is a super nude color, not everyone will like this one. It basically mutes out my lips but has a pink undertone to it. I was debating between this lipstick and myth but I thought myth was too peachy for me, I prefer a more pink nude. It's a Satin finish, so it's not overly drying and has pretty good staying power. I get a couple hours of wear before I feel I need to touch up. Also because this is such a nude color, I prefer to pat this color on my lips. If you apply it too thickly it can look overpowering. I have very dry lips, so no matter what color I'm using I always exfoliate and moisturize before. I don't have a problem with this setting into my lip lines or anything. I'm really enjoying this lipstick so far! Unfortunately I don't have a lip swatch, I'm having some bad breakouts right now and no one wants to see that! Natural Nymph from ELF is similar, Just a tad bit more peachy than Fleshpot. I own Natural Nymph and it gives me the same super nude effect but I find it's much more dying on my lips.
So I'm quite happy with this purchase! And I'm happy to be blogging again! Expect lots of fun posts coming soon! I'm taking a few days off work around Christmas time so hopefully I'll be able to get a bunch of pictures taken and posts written for you all! As always thank you so so much for reading! I hope you enjoyed this post :)

There are a lot of great nude lipsticks from the drugstore! You could try those out and see if its something you like :)
DeleteI was thinking about purchasing Myth, but I also prefer pinker undertones, so maybe Fleshpot might suit me better. Either way, MAC makes some lovely shades of lipsticks. Thanks for the review!

DeleteThis color is so pretty :)
ReplyDeleteWhats it like on the lips? I'm fairly light skined and would be afraid it would wash me right out.

I am fair as well, it is very nude on the lips but still wearable. Looks great with a dramatic eye!
DeleteHmmmm not sure about the name but I do love MAC lipsticks so I'd be willing to let that go, the colour is very like 'shy girl' one of my favourites so I'd be interested in comparing them in the flesh -boom boom (sorry) Anyway great blog/post found you via Ambi Fashion (just thought you'd like to know) Now following you on bloglovin would love it if you could check out my blog and maybe follow back - no pressure :)
