Sigma Brush Review

About a month ago I bought some new Sigma brushes. I have 2 full sets and they're hands down my favorite brushes. They're amazing quality, I've had my first set for close to four years and they're still in amazing shape. I decided to pick up some new brushes that I don't have anything similar to. If you'd like to see my review, click below!

The brushes I ordered are from top to bottom:

F05 Small Contour $18.00

E45 Small Tapered Blending $12.00

F35 Tapered Highlighter $21.00

E36 Blending $12.00

All of these brushes are incredibly soft, and have natural hairs. I've washed them many times and have experienced no shedding. The handles are a glossy black and the name of the brush and the Sigma logo are engraved in a holographic silver. The ferrules are very sturdy, super great quality brushes! The only thing I can say, is Sigma did raise their prices by a few dollars. But it's completely worth it for a great quality brush, IMO.

Sigma has a whole slew of different blending brushes, which is great. Everyone has different eye shapes and sizes and I think it's important to cater to everyone needs. My eyes are slightly deepset and I have small lid space, so I wanted to try out some smaller blending brushes. Both of these brushes are part of their performance eyes collection.

The top brush is the E36 blending. It works incredibly well for blending color into the crease. It's not super stiff, it has some play to it which is great for any precise blending. It's very small so you can even use it under the eye. I can't seem to get it as white as it was when I first got it, but regardless I love this brush. I'd like to pick up an extra!

E45 Tapered Small Blending. This brush has been a game changer I swear. I used to have such a hard time applying color to my crease and outer corner area. I'd use mulitiple brushes and it would take forever. This brush is small, pointed and just dense enough for me. This brush is kind of a hybrid between the E30 Pencil brush and the E40 Blending. Which is great in my opinion for someone with smaller eyes. This is probably my favorite eye brush! It has make my makeup application much easier. This is also a brush I plan on buying more of!

Top: E40 Blending

Middle: E36 Blending

Bottom:E45 Small Tapered Blending

So as you can see, the E36 and E45 are much smaller than your average blending brush.

I've recently been getting into contouring and highlighting. I decided to try out an actual contour and highlighting brush. The F05 Small Contour and the F35 Tapered Highlighter.

F05 Small Contour Brush is the perfect size for contouring my face. It's dense and fluffy but doesn't make my contour look too intense. It makes it effortless really. I use Benefit Hoola and just buff it right under my cheekbones. Works like a charm!

F35 Tapered Highlighter. I previously used a fan brush for highlighting but wanted to try this one. It's more precise. It does pick up a lot of color, so I use a light hand. I haven't noticed a huge change between this and the fan brush, but it's still a great brush for highlighting.

So those are my thought on the new brushes I ordered. I'm totally loving them and they definately get used all the time. I'm very happy with my purchase and love adding to my brush collection. I also recieved a free travel size E25 blending brush. I have a couple of them from ordering in the past. It's a good "flat" blending brush. Also, I've been asked what I use to clean my brushes. I wash them with baby shampoo. When they're dry I spritz the hairs with rubbing alcohol to sanitize them. It doesn't dry them out at all. I also wipe the handle and ferrule with a sanitizing wipe. I hope you enjoyed this post, I know it's been a while I've been so busy :( but as always thank you so much for reading!!
