Lorac Pro Palette Review & Swatches

Merry Christmas everyone! My post today is going to be on a palette I'm sure everyone is quite familiar with, the Lorac Pro palette. It has been out for quite while, but I neglected buying it. "Why do I need another neutral palette?" Well I'll tell you why, it's amazing. If you want to see swatches and my review, click below:)

Starting with the packaging..

It's around the same size as the naked palettes, but much thinner. It's a smooth matte finish kind of like NARS packaging. It flips open to reveal a mirror and the 16 shadows.

There are 8 matte shades on top, and 8 shimmer shades below.

First half.

Second half

All swatches are done on bare skin. Sidenote: I never swatch my shadows over primers. I probably should start doing both because obviously it can greatly improve the quality of shadows. I need to remember this!

Ugh, aren't they beautiful? I've never used any Lorac products before and this was a great first impression. All of these shadows applies smoothly and pigmented. They feel like butter to the touch. I did have some fallout with a few shimmer shades, especially Nude and Champagne but it's expected. These are just as amazing as my Urban Decay shadows, dare I say a little better even? They're just so soft and smooth! Super easy to blend. I've used this everyday since I bought it. I think my favorite shade is Garnet. It looks stunning on blue eyes. If you are debating between this and a Naked palette, I think I'd go with this one. Only because it has 8 matte shadows. I always wish my Naked palettes had more mattes. I know that's what the basics palette is for but this one is all inclusive. The shadows are also smaller than the UD naked, the Lorac shadows are 0.02oz and UD is 0.05oz. It also comes with a mini Behind the Scenes eye primer, but eye primers never do much for my oily lids. I stick with my paint pot.

So basically, I'm obsessed with this. I'm not even going to make a pro and con list because the only con I can think of would be I'm afraid going to hit pan on them because I love it so much! I bought this from Ulta for $42.00

I hope you enjoyed this review, and had a very merry christmas!! Thank you so much for reading!
