Purple Smokey Eye

Hello again. Today's tutorial will show you how to create this dramatic but wearable purple smokey eye. I'm going to see one of my favorite bands play tomorrow and this is what I plan on wearing! Enjoy :)

First up prime the lid. As always I'm using MAC painterly paint pot. Then taking "Tease" from the Naked 2 palette, buff this into the crease with a blending brush. This will make it easier to blend out the dark shadows we use later.

Next take a matte black shadow and pat this all over the lid. It's ok if it's messy you're going to blend it out later.

Now with a flat shader brush and this purple Covergirl single shadow, pat this all over the black shadow. Blend the two colors together. Then taking a clean blending brush, blend all edges together so there are no harsh lines. There is no name on this shadow, just the number 455. On its own this shadow is a bit chalky but layered it is beautiful.

Line your lower lash line with this NYX slide on pencil in Pretty Violet. Tightline and line your waterline with 24/7 liner in perversion. Then taking a liner brush and purple shadow, smudge along lower lash line to blend.

Highlight your browbone with a matte cream color. Using a small detail brush, take NYX single shadow in Frosted Lavender and highlight the inner corner.

Follow up with liquid liner on the top lash line and some falsies! I picked these ardell ones up the other day and they are awesome with a purple look. The fibers are a mix of black and a deep red color and they are just beautiful!

Here is the finished look!

For the rest of my face I used: Garnier BB cream, Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer, Pur Minerals Concealer under the eyes, Elf HD powder to set under eyes, Hoola to contour and Elf Golden Bronzer for cheek color.

Lips: Maybelline Color Whisper in Oh La Lilac and Revlon gloss in Lilac Pastelle. I've recently been loving the look of lilac lips!

Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoyed and if you recreate this look please send me a picture!
