L'Oreal Telescopic Shocking Extensions Review!

Hello there. I was going through my makeup collection yesterday and I realized.. I only own one mascara. I know this sounds absolutely insane coming from someone who is obsessed with makeup. A few months ago if you would have asked me I would have said 20. I came to my senses and purged a bunch of old makeup. I've been using Benefits They're Real and I was loving it, but I wanted to try something new. I like to have options. I almost picked this mascara up a few times but talked myself out of it everytime.

Nicole you do not need this mascara! You have a great one! Go buy more colorful eyeshadow!

Yeah, basically my inner dialogue every time I was at the store. I had been seriously neglecting my lashes by substituting with falsies. Anyway, something struck me today while I was in CVS (probably my 5 dollar off coupon) I had heard so many great things about this mascara and today was the day! So if you would like to see my review of this mascara, click below!

Ok let's start by saying I am seldom impressed with mascaras. It's really not the mascaras fault, I have really lousy lashes. They're really thin and light and pretty straight. What I look for most in a mascara is something that will give me length and volume. This is obviously marketed as more of a lengthening mascara, but I trust the opinion of fellow beauty girls and wanted to try it! I think what got me good about this in the store was the wand is very thin, which is good for my tiny eyes. My old favorite mascara was Maybellines Lash Discovery, which has a super thin brush. So the wand is great, the packaging itself is sleek and pleasant. I might be the only weirdo that does this but I always smell new mascaras too, this one almost smelled of suntan lotion at first. But I'm probably crazy! Ok so lets get on to how it performs!

Sad, I know. These are the lashes I was blessed with, or lack of. I know it could be worse, but it could also be better!

This is after curling and a usual 2 coats! I'm very impressed! It lengthened and separated, didn't clump. And it also gave me great volume in my opinion. It would usually take a lot more than 2 coats of most mascaras to achieve this look. I let it dry and attempted and third coat and it still looked amazing. I'm really a fan of this mascara. It is on par with Benefits They're Real and I may even like it better because the brush is smaller! It made my bottom lashes look good too! I find a lot of mascaras clump them together and make them look uneven.

This was after a third coat, some turquoise shadow and a new wet n wild turquoise glitter liner. They had the halloween makeup out at CVS and I cannot say no to that.

I give this mascara 5 stars! It did not make my lashes dry or crunchy. No flaking! It holds curl really well too and its not even the waterproof formula. I would like to try that one out too! I definitely recommend this and plan on repurchasing. I hope you enjoyed my review! Have you ladies tried this mascara? Thanks for reading!

  4. Holy cow!!! That's awesome. I definitely need to try this. I used to be a Maybelline The Falsies purist- I refused to use anything else but finally let myself broaden my horizons and have been using They're Real, Rimmel Scandaleyes, and Avon's Super Drama. Love all of them, but this one seems like a great future addition to my collection!
