Makeup Collection Storage

Hey there, today I bring you an update of my makeup storage/collection. I did a post of how I store my "daily" makeup in the beginning of September. I said I was going to do an update post when I was able to get my whole collection organized somehow. This is the setup I've been using since a few days after that post and I like it and wanted to share it with you! I just want to say, I know I have an absurd amount of makeup..I've worked very hard to buy all this stuff (with the exception of some bday gifts from the bf.) So if you want to see how I organize my sick obsession, click below :) it's a long one FYI!

This is the main setup. I use to keep all my stuff in the bathroom, but have since moved it into my room in front of my window. This is a tiny table I bought from Walmart and spent an afternoon building. My room is full of that cheap build-it-yourself furniture from Walmart and Target and I love it all. I wish I could have found one a little bigger but I was on a budget and this one is working perfectly for me :) to the right of this, I have a little end table with 3 good sized drawers. Stupidly, I did not not a picture of this, just the contents. I have the same clear plastic organizers I had in my old post, they do house some different contents now though.

On the left side we have my mirror and my brushes. PLEASE excuse my dirty brushes, you'd think I'd hold off on this post until I washed my brushes but that would be no fun. The blue cup holds my eye brushes and the jar holds my face ones. I'd like to transfer my eye brushes to a jar also but I only have giant ones left and that won't work. Typing this just now, I realized I DO have a smaller one I painted sitting under my bathroom sink. So that's productive. We will see if it works :)

Next up is my main organizer. This is where I keep almost all the products I use daily. On the left side I keep the lipsticks I wear the most. Behind that is my mascaras and beloved UD liner. In the middle I have my Naked Basics palette. A MAC primer I plan on reviewing. My face powders- bronzers, blushes, stay matte. To the right I have some concealers another mascara and my Wet n Wild liquid liner. Also, I always keep the polish I'm currently wearing on my table. In this case it's Sinful Colors "Gorgeous."

Next I have my little 3 drawer organizer. I keep my Beauty Blender and Kabuki brush on top, both of which need to be washed..to the right of this I keep some face products.. My current foundation I'm testing out, Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous. My Simple moisturizer. Murads Oil Free Mattifier (which I still plan on reviewing) and Urban Decay Setting Spray which I really only use to wet shadows with.

Here is the contents of my drawers.. Starting up top I keep my pigments/ loose products. I have 5 Pigments from MYO Makeup, an Oslo shadow and 3 blushes. Bottom left I keep some more lip products I frequently use. And on the right I have my paint pot, white NYX shadow. ELF highlighter and Urban Decay Naked shadow.

Now well move to the little end table. On top of this I keep a cute little tray from Hobby Lobby with all my perfumes on it. I'm a bit of a perfume hoarder, I'm obsessed. My eye makeup remover. The same little cup from my last post with all my pencils and some tools. I also have a lotion, and some Clorox wipes I use to wipe the desk after I'm done.

The top drawer hold all my eye palettes. My Brow Genius Kit (review here) above the palettes is a little plastic tub and a pencil sharpener. Next to the palettes is a little plastic bin that I keep my remaining lipsticks in. Maybe a gloss or two..I have 4 of these little bins, they were only 3 dollars at target! They're great for organizing.

Second drawer keeps another bin with extra face products like blushes bronzers highlighters. Next to that bin I have 3 foundations, you can't see them in the picture though. On the other side I have a smaller bin I keep all my eyelashes and glue in. Behind that I have a cup with basically just concealers in it. On the side of this drawer I have a BH blush palette. In the black zipper bag I keep my lipglosses. I'm not a huge lipgloss girl, so they kind of stay tucked away. I don't have many.

Now onto the last drawer. White bin holds my single eyeshadows, and a bunch of samples. The black bin below has all my small palettes, quads and a couple mascaras. To the right of these I have 2 backup products and a hairbrush!

So that's how I keep thing organized. It's much more effective then my last setup. I just had everything in 2 drawers. It was ridiculous if I wanted to use a product I didn't normally use. Makeup collection videos are one of my favorite things to watch on YouTube, I just love to see how people organize their stuff. One day I'd love to have one of those great desks from IKEA with all the drawers. But I don't have nearly enough stuff to fill it. And I like my tiny desk :) if anyone wants to see a review on anything I have, let me know! I hope you enjoyed this crazy long post, if you stuck to the end you're a trooper! :)

How do you organize your collection? Thanks for reading!

  8. What a great collection you have!! I love the how organized you are. I always try my best and somehow I end up failing...I think it's because I don't have my ideal set up yet. Definitely working on it though.

I too would love to have an Ikea desk, but I don't have that many products either.

    Great post!!

    1. Thank you :) I'd definitely like more storage too but feel like I'd use it as an excuse to shop more! Which i totally need to avoid!
