Navy Smoky Eye

Hi ladies. Today I have a Navy blue smoky eye look. Today was a very productive day for me and that's always a nice feeling for a Sunday. I'm excited about this look because it's using a product that I've had for a while and really love. If you want to check out how I did this, click below! :)

So for whatever reason my pictures of my eye got all messed up and the quality of the first few look so horrible, so I'm gonna skip ahead a few steps and just explain what I did. I started by priming my eye with painterly paint pot. Next I took the color Faint from the Naked Basics palette and blended it into my crease. Then I took this Rimmel Exagerate Pencil in Deep Ocean and applied it to my lid. Focusing more toward the lash line, and blending it upwards with my finger.

So next I placed a piece of tape from the outer corner of my eye toward the end of my brow. I could have angled it out a bit more but oh well, I'm never good at judging this step.

Next, taking this L'Oreal Infalliable Shadow in Midnight Blue, apply it all over the lid. I find if your using a brush with these shadows, you need to get a lot on your brush. My favorite way to apply these is with my fingers! The color payoff is extreme, I love these. If you use a brush there will be fallout, as you can see. To blend this Midnight Blue with Faint, I take the color Siouxsie-Sioux from the Kat Von D Ladybird palette, and blend it right below the crease. It is a matte navy shade so it does a great job of blending the two.

You can take the tape off now, I lightly applied a matte white along the edge we created. I also applied the Rimmel Deep Ocean pencil along my lower lashline and set it with the Midnight Blue shadow. I highlighted under my brow with the same matte white, and did any extra blending that needed to be done.

I finished up with some black liquid liner, mascara and falsies. I have no idea the name of these, I use them all the time though. I can't even tell you the brand, I'm horrible. I think it's Natural something? They're not natural by any means obviously but they're fantastic looking. If anyone wants to know they brand and name I will figure it out!

I think this looks goes best with a glowy complexion and nude lips. Honestly I only did one eye so that explains the half face picture. I'm wearing LOreal Ture Match foundation, NYC Sun n Bronze in Montauk Bronze, Elf baked highlighter in Blush Gems, and Elf Natural Nymph lipstick. My highlights not that extreme in person, natural sunlight and flash helped. But I do really like the blush gems highlighter! Also I look fabulously crazy in this picture. My brows are rebelling against me. ALSO bad news! I cannot find this Rimmel Deep Ocean pencil anywhere now! I just searched for it and it's gone. I did some cleaning after I did this look and I fear it's gone forever, :( I will keep searching!

So I hope you all liked this! I had every intention of doing a warm red and brown look using the Luxe quad I hauled yesterday. But things just didn't work out, so this happened instead! I'm happy with the results. As always, thank you so much for reading! Love you all!

  2. So gorgeous, I love using dark blues to play up my brown eyes. Have you tried using a post it note instead of tape? I find theyre less sticky so they won't mess with your face makeup as much as tape does.

Also http://www.beautyencounter.com/?gclid=CJHLr4mHhboCFc5FMgodGDkAaA is an AMAZING website to find products that have been discontinued. My Prestige lip gloss was discontinued and I searched EVERYWHERE for it & this was the only website I could find it on. Happy Hunting! <3
